the idea for NETDUMP originated in a subsidiary project of the gARbage|T|. gARbage|T| has long since ceased to exist. it was clear from the beginning of its conception that the complexity of NETDUMP would outgrow the actual subsidiary art project.
description of the first
gARbage|T| preview:
This project aims to attract attention to the constantly growing waste problem.
Shock is a desired effect to convey the dismal nature of the situation. In terms
of content, the inclusion of information about all of the aspects of waste,
including themes and statistics, is planned. Both elements together should not
be viewed as an information platform in the conventional sense, but rather as
an artistic experiment. This project also tries to translate a TV-borne outfit
thus far known only from broadcasting stations such as MTV into an online context.
However, there are significant expectations in terms of system requirements
of the viewer. Currently we expect a monitor resolution of 1024*768, IE 5.x
(Netscape is only partially supported), a sound card and a processor speed of
200MHz + as the absolute minimum configuration to view gARbage|T| smoothly.

entstanden ist die idee für NETDUMP ursprünglich als tochterprojekt von gARbage|T|. inzwischen ist gARbage|T| längst gestoppt worden. bereits zu beginn der konzeption von NETDUMP verschlang die komplexität das eigentliche tocher - art - projekt.

beschreibung:
Dieses Projekt soll einerseits auf das permanent wachsende Müllproblem aufmerksam
machen. Schock zur Vermittlung der tristen Situation ist erwünscht. Inhaltlich
sind auch Auskünfte über sämtliche mit Müll im Zusammenhang stehende Themen
und Statistiken geplant. Beides zusammen soll nicht eine Informationsplattform
im herkömmlichen Sinn darstellen, sondern vielmehr als Kunstexperiment betrachtet
werden. Dieses Projekt versucht auch ein bisher nur von Broadcasting-Sendern
wie MTV bekanntes TV-Outfit in ein neues Onlinefähiges zu portieren. Als Voraussetzung
dafür werden hiermit allerdings schon einige Systemanforderungen seitens des
Betrachters erwartet. So soll (bisheriger Stand) eine Bildschirmauflösung von
1024 x 768, der IE 5.x (Netscape wird nur zum Teil unterstützt), eine Soundkarte
und ein Prozessor 200Mhz+ als absolute Mindestvoraussetzung zum reibungslosen
Betrachten von gARbage |T| dienen.
