netdump has been selected to be part of the FILE-2001 festival.
The event take place at the Museu da Imagem e do Som, in Sao Paulo city, from august 7th until september 2nd of the year 2001. It will be online all year around.

this movie was actually produced for project-presentations on cdroms and for presentations at festivals. among the versions for PC and MAC there is also a special version for multimedia kiosk systems (closing the application is disabled, etc.). systemrequirements: screenresolution of 1024x786 (or higher) and a soundcard. free download (ca. 20mb)

the presskit with information and multimedia material on the netdump project has got a better structure and new additional stuff. in the presskit you can find screenshots, information on the project (awards, participation in exhibitions and new media/ art festivals), infos about the author and artist of the project. besides, there are also galleries (especially those with the aim of documentation) with photos, video cuts, etc.
both thumbnail galleries are new: one with screenshots and one for ducumentary purpose ("netdump/ gerhard schwoiger at the ars electronica 00 in linz, upper austria" + prix ars electronica gala)

the netdump clients 'recycle bin' and 'collector' are now available on the website in their new, revised and extended versions. these versions now support windows 2000 as well as windows 98.
significant changes to the netdump recycle bin:
selected text can be dragged from applications or websites directly into the netdump recycle bin. extended skin management (themes) with some preinstalled skins available. the recycle bin automatically checks for newer versions of information for supported file formats, for newer versions of the recycle bin and for newer versions of the collector (if installed). if newer versions are available online, they are automatically and independently downloaded. new technology for communicating via http. a function for simpler error reporting: 'bug report' better debug mode protocols.
significant changes to the netdump collector:
the always on top property can now be controlled. double clicking on the background of the collector displays the preferences and the option of quitting the collector.
