///////////////////////////////////////
INFORMATION ABOUT THE DOWNLOADED DATA:
this listbox contains all of the names of files which
have been downloaded in the current session, including the local path
to each one. by choosing one of the entries in the list, the appropriate
package information is displayed also. hence all newly downloaded files
can be viewed sequentially and saved or just previewed. usually all downloads
are saved in the netdump system folder on the startup disk.

this text field displays the information about the author
/ waste generator of the current download.

the field 'package information' describes the individual
package, or, rather, its contents.

this field contains information about the number
of copies of the current download still available from netdump.

clicking this button reveals the current download
item (provided it has been completely downloaded) either directly in the
netdump mediaplay window (provided that mediaplay supports previewing
of the file type) or in the application which has been registered to open
this type of file locally.

to save the current
download item locally (see point 9) , a target location
MUST be specified here. this is the only way of guaranteeing that the
download will still exist when the collector or the recycle bin are next
launched. this is because the netdump system directory only serves as
storage for temporary data and is automatically cleaned up and erased
from time to time!
///////////////////////////////////////

the collector's mediaplay window is responsible
for rapid previews of downloads (regardless of whether they are images,
videos or sounds). however, only those data can be displayed which are
supported by mediaplay. on low resolution screens, mediaplay appears as
a separate window. on screens with resolutions above 1152x864 (which is
the optimum), the mediaplay is fused graphically with the collector. the
button bar (on the right) allows navigation through moving pictures and
sounds. double-clicking a moving picture opens it in full-screen mode.
